Erlanger’s Academic Urologists present information on overactive bladder and urinary incontinence

Chattanooga, Tenn. – Academic Urologists will host free information sessions specifically on overactive bladder for men and women on December 7 and on male urinary incontinence and erectile dysfunction on December 10. Both sessions begin at 6 p.m. at Erlanger East.

Overactive Bladder is a condition that can be extremely limiting for both men and women. One in three adults may have symptoms that include needing to go to the bathroom more than eight times a day, having a sudden urgency to urinate that is difficult to control, and waking up more than once during the night to urinate. The session on December 7 is a review of overactive bladder (OAB) and includes information on various treatments. It will feature a discussion from Erlanger’s leading urologists, a patient who will share his/her experience with OAB, and a question-and-answer session.

As many as 30 million men in the United States experience incontinence and/or erectile dysfunction. Many cases go undiagnosed or are not even discussed with physicians. The December 10 session will allow men to hear about these common medical conditions and advanced treatments available, such as minimally invasive solutions to regain intimacy and restore control.

Academic Urologists at Erlanger provides comprehensive care for diseases of the male and female urinary tract and male reproductive organs. Erlanger’s specialists and surgeons are the region’s only group with multiple physicians who are fellowship-trained in a wide range of urological specialties and have earned national recognition in the treatment of urological cancers.

The seminars are free and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. To reserve a seat, please call 423-778-LINK (5465). Academic Urologists at Erlanger East is located at 1755 Gunbarrel Road in Chattanooga, Tenn.
