Chattanooga, TN – UT Erlanger Orthopedics and Sports Medicine will begin offering Saturday Sports Medicine Clinics this Saturday, September 10, at two convenient locations in the Chattanooga and North Georgia communities. The free clinics for student athletes will be offered at the UT Erlanger Orthopedics and Sports Medicine offices in Erlanger’s Medical Mall and Cornerstone Orthopedics, located on Battlefield Parkway. This special clinic offers exceptional care to student athletes injured during Friday night games. Athletes will be seen on a first come, first serve basis and should sign-in between 8 – 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. The initial clinic visit is free, but insurance will be billed for any x-ray, casting, or bracing services. Athletes will be seen by Erlanger’s team of orthopedics and sports medicine physicians including, Drs. Richard Alvarez, Channappa Chandra, Jad Dorzias, David Jenkinson, Danielle Mitchell, Michael Tew and Erlanger’s team of athletic trainers. Drs. Chad Smith and Vaughn Frigon, along with athletic trainers, will see patients in the Cornerstone Orthopedics location. UT Erlanger Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is located on the 2nd floor, B elevator, of Erlanger’s Medical Mall. Cornerstone Orthopedics is located at 3063 Battlefield Parkway in Fort Oglethorpe.
