Erlanger East Hospital has been awarded The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Chest Pain Certification, as well as Advanced Disease-Specific Care Certification for Acute Stroke Ready Hospital.
The hospital underwent rigorous onsite reviews to assess its compliance with national disease-specific care standards, as well as chest pain and stroke-specific requirements.
“Erlanger East Hospital is committed to becoming a leader in chest pain and stroke care and these certifications recognize that East is equipped to treat chest pain and stroke patients with timely, evidence-based care,” states Phil Jackson, CEO of Erlanger East Hospital.
In addition to The Joint Commission certifications, Erlanger East Hospital received the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get with the Guidelines® — Stroke Bronze Quality Achievement Award. This award recognizes East’s commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.
