The vast majority of children diagnosed with cancer across the Chattanooga region are treated close to home, at Children’s Hospital at Erlanger. In fact, more than 90 percent of children from the area are treated here.
All of those children and families cared for by the Children’s Hospital oncology team are invited to a special homecoming event on November 8 at the Chattanooga Zoo. It will be a day of celebration among the Children’s Hospital staff, and the hundreds of families they have served.
The Homecoming event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and will feature fun for the whole family – including free admission to the zoo, lunch, and a variety of fun family activities. The event will be documented on video, and will include a giant group portrait (assembling at 1 p.m.).
