Two Erlanger physicians attain board certification in gastroenterology subspecialty

Health System is pleased to announce that Arslan Kahloon, MD, and Laurie-Anne C. Swaby, MD, have been awarded board certification in the subspecialty of gastroenterology from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).

Kahloon,ArslanMDBoth Dr. Kahloon and Dr. Swaby are board certified in internal medicine and practice with Academic Gastroenterology at the Erlanger Baroness Campus. To become certified in the subspecialty of gastroenterology, physicians must be previously certified in internal medicine by ABIM and pass the gastroenterology certification examination. 

Dr. Kahloon earned his medical degree at The Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed an internal medicine residency program at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and completed fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis.

Swaby, Laurie-AnnMDDr. Swaby earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York. She completed an internal medicine residency program at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston and a gastroenterology fellowship at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
