Ft. Oglethorpe, GA – Executives of Erlanger Health System kicked off their new management agreement with Hutcheson Medical Center by giving top-notch “service” to Hutcheson employees at a celebratory picnic on Wednesday, June 8, at the Ft. Oglethorpe facility.
Members of Erlanger’s executive team donned blue aprons, lined up beneath a blue and white tent in the parking area, and served up hamburgers and hot dogs to more than 600 Hutcheson employees, board members, physicians, and volunteers. Attendees received t-shirts that proclaimed, “Erlanger + Hutcheson = The Dream Team.”
“Our team is here to serve you,” Erlanger President and CEO Jim Brexler told the Hutcheson group. “We’re here to support you … and provide stability and stabilization here in North Georgia.”
Debbie Reeves, Hutcheson Interim CEO, told the crowd that they were celebrating “a new beginning of our partnership with the Erlanger Health System … the best possible partnership that could have been chosen.”
During the festivities, two LIFE FORCE aircraft, Erlanger’s air ambulance service, performed a flyover at the site. One helicopter landed in the parking area, and LIFE FORCE crew members, along with local EMS personnel, conducted educational tours of the emergency vehicles for picnic attendees.
