Healthcare professionals from the Chattanooga region recently had an opportunity to network with other professionals who have a passion for treating individuals with the disease of obesity and obesity-related health complications at the first annual Metabolic Symposium. The educational opportunity, planned in conjunction with the 3rd annual celebrating metabolic milestones dinner, was held at The Westin Chattanooga. Dr. Chris Sanborn, along with Dr. Jennifer Dooley and Dr. Arslan Kahloon presented topics focused on the latest trends in treating metabolic bariatric patients including a presentation on the impact of pharmaceuticals on the disease of obesity.
In the evening, the Third Annual Celebrating Metabolic Milestones Dinner featured a wellness reception and dinner. The highlight of the evening was the patient success stories. Each story highlighted information about the patient’s life both pre- and post-surgery, and featured the patient walking the runway in celebration of their milestone achievements.
