LIFE FORCE added a new helicopter to its fleet of air ambulances this week. The new helicopter is based at the Winchester airport located in Middle Tennessee.
“This is a big deal for Erlanger. The Winchester base has been about ten years in the making,” said LIFE FORCE Administrator Robbie Tester. “We’re very excited to put something in Middle Tennessee.”
In addition to the Winchester location, LIFE FORCE has four other bases of operation throughout the region to serve residents within a 150-mile radius of Chattanooga. Headquartered at Erlanger’s downtown location, 975 East Third Street, Chattanooga, Tenn., LIFE FORCE also provides emergency helicopter transport from bases in Sparta, Tenn., and Calhoun and Blue Ridge, Ga., and transported more than 1,400 patients during fiscal year 2013–2014.
