Erlanger announces the appointment of Asad Zaman, MHA, as Transplant Service Line Administrator

Chattanooga, Tenn. – Erlanger Health System President and CEO, Kevin M. Spiegel, FACHE, is pleased to announce the appointment of Asad Zaman, MHA, as Erlanger’s new Transplant Service Line Administrator.

Zaman is an administrative professional specializing in the management of solid organ transplant programs. He most recently completed an administrative fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center focusing on work with seven distinct adult and pediatric transplant programs.

“I am extremely excited to have Asad Zaman on our team,” said Kevin M. Spiegel, FACHE. “His research and past experience working with other transplant centers will be a huge asset to Erlanger’s commitment to the Kidney Transplant Center and the overall operation of end-stage renal care in our region. As the region’s only kidney transplant program, Asad will focus on providing more outreach to surrounding communities and educating patients about their local option for kidney transplantation.”

Prior to his tenure at Vanderbilt, Zaman worked at the Indiana University Health Transplant Center focusing on regulatory oversight of the abdominal and thoracic transplant programs. He has presented abstracts at the United Network for Organ Sharing Transplant Management Forum, as well as the American Transplant Congress, the Joint annual meeting of The American Society of Transplant Surgeons and the American Society of Transplantation. Zaman has also given several lectures at the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management.

Zaman received his bachelor’s degree from Case Western Reserve University and a master’s in health administration from Indiana University. He is currently a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Society of Transplantation.
